Working with general NetIM settings
You can configure general NetIM settings for such things as IP Detection, Application Properties, and Device Discovery Global Settings by choosing Configure > All Settings > Customize > General Settings.
On the General Settings page, you can configure settings related to the following:
• Application Properties
• Device Discovery Global Settings
• IP Detection
• Polling and Metrics Collection (now including Generic Metrics Import)
• SNMP Poller
• NetAuditor integration
• External Data Collection
• Device CLI Collection
• Device MIB Configuration Import
• Link and Connection Inference
Help for each field is displayed when you mouse over the Information icon.
Update Model
The General Settings page contains a button to perform a full update of the NetIM network model. Click Update Model to execute the same network model update that you schedule during the Basic Setup wizard.
Export Model
The General Settings page contains a button to perform a full export of the NetIM network model. The model is exported to file in XML format. You may be instructed by Technical Support to execute this function and provide the resulting file to Technical Support.
Delete All Links
The General Settings page contains a button to perform the deletion of all links from the NetIM network model. This function should be performed when you want to have link inference perform a recalculation of all inferred connectivity. You may be instructed by Technical Support to execute this function.
