Riverbed SteelConnect Gateways
NetIM supports SteelConnect Gateways running version 2.10 and later provided SNMP is enabled. SNMP autodiscovery, collection, and metric polling are supported using SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c. Workflows supported include inventory, performance, connectivity, and AppNetwork Path. Performance metrics supported include status, availability, CPU utilization, memory utilization, disk utilization, and standard interface-related metrics.
Collection and polling from SteelConnects using the API and CLI are not supported at this time.
SteelConnect Gateways are included in a new SD-WAN device type group provided on the Home page.
SteelConnect Gateways are represented in the Topology page with the new icon .
Fortinet Fortigate firewalls
NetIM supports Fortinet Fortigate firewalls running version 5.x and later. SNMP autodiscovery, collection, and metric polling are supported using SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3 using standard and proprietary MIBs.
Workflows supported include autoconfiguration, CLI collection, archiving, config file diff detection, inventory, performance metrics, connectivity, and AppNetwork Path. Performance metrics supported include status, availability, CPU utilization, memory utilization, and interface-related metrics. A CLI device driver is included for Fortinet firewalls. Parsing of CLI command output is not supported except for AppNetwork Path-related commands (traceroute, next hop, and ping).
Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewalls
NetIM supports Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewalls running version 7.x and later. SNMP autodiscovery, collection and metric polling are supported using SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3 using standard and proprietary MIBs. Workflows supported include autoconfiguration, CLI collection, archiving, and parsing, config file diff detection, inventory, performance metrics, connectivity, and AppNetwork Path. Performance metrics supported include status, availability, CPU utilization, memory utilization, and interface-related metrics. A CLI device driver is included for Palo Alto devices.
Arista Networks EOS-based devices
NetIM now provides additional CLI parsing support for Arista devices supporting NetPlanner use-cases.
Segment routing support for NetPlanner
NetIM now provides additional CLI parsing support for segment routing commands. Segment Routing is a form of source routing being adopted by multiple vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, and so on. Segment Routing has multiple applications including Traffic Engineering and Software Defined Networking (SDN). CLI parsing for segment routing-related commands is provided for Cisco IOS-XR-based, Cisco IOS-XE-based, and Juniper JunOS-based devices. Segment routing-related behavioral modeling and traffic engineering studies are supported in NetPlanner 18.8.0 and later.
